Instructions

You can get started in three easy steps:

# 1. Install a package with repository for your system:
# On CentOS, install package centos-release-scl available in CentOS repository:
$ sudo yum install centos-release-scl

# On RHEL, enable RHSCL repository for you system:
$ sudo yum-config-manager --enable rhel-server-rhscl-7-rpms

# 2. Install the collection (rh-nodejs6 collection will be installed as a dependency):
$ sudo yum install rh-ror50

# 3. Start using software collections:
$ scl enable rh-nodejs6 rh-ror50 bash

At this point you should be able to use rails just as a normal application. Examples of commands run might be:

$ rails new project
$ cd project
$ rails server -p 8080
$ rails generate controller pages

In order to view the individual components included in this collection, you can run:

$ sudo yum list rh-ror50\*

Ruby on Rails Software Collection as Docker Formatted Container

On CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 you can pull the image with the following command:

$ docker pull registry.access.redhat.com/rhscl/ror-50-rhel7
$ docker pull centos/ror-50-centos7
