Instructions

You can get started in three easy steps:

# 1. Install a package with repository for your system:
# On CentOS, install package centos-release-scl available in CentOS repository:
$ sudo yum install centos-release-scl

# On RHEL, enable RHSCL repository for you system:
$ sudo yum-config-manager --enable rhel-server-rhscl-7-rpms

# 2. Install the collection:
$ sudo yum install httpd24

# 3. Start using the software collection:
$ scl enable httpd24 bash

At this point you should be able to use httpd just as a normal application. Some examples of new available commands follow:

$ service httpd24-httpd start
$ httpd -h

In order to view the individual components included in this collection, including additional subpackages, you can run:

$ sudo yum list httpd24\*

Apache HTTP Server Software Collection as Docker Formatted Container

On CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 you can pull the image with the following command:

$ docker pull rhscl/httpd-24-rhel7
